Train-flipping platformer Denshattack has unveiled an impressive list of musical talent working on its soundtrack, including legendary composers from some of gaming’s biggest franchises. Developer Undercoders and publisher Fireshine Games announced that Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, Streets of Rage 4), Shoji Meguro (Persona series), and Ryo Nagamatsu (Splatoon, Mario Kart) are amongst the star-studded lineup creating music for the upcoming trick-based adventure.

The game promises to blend Tony Hawk-style gameplay with train conducting across more than 50 levels set in a post-apocalyptic Japan. Players will master rail-hopping combos whilst drifting on walls and clearing massive gaps in what the developers describe as “extreme train action at the highest level imaginable.” The story takes place in a world where climate catastrophe has left the wealthy living in air-purifying domes, whilst underground gangs battle for territory using reclaimed railroad tracks.

The soundtrack features an eclectic mix of styles ranging from electrifying breakbeat and Y2K hip-hop to punk rock energy and funk grooves with Japanese vocals. Beyond the renowned game composers, the project also includes performers like Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (Daytona USA) and Lotus Juice (Persona series), creating what promises to be a vibrant cross-generational musical experience that matches the game’s dynamic action.

Denshattack is set to launch this spring on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Players looking to customise their experience can develop their own unique trick styles whilst earning upgrades through rebellious gameplay. The developers have released a musical trailer showcasing several tracks from the soundtrack, giving fans a taste of what to expect from this unconventional rail-riding adventure.
