Sumerian Six | WW2 Stealth Tactics

Console gamers can now get their hands on Sumerian Six, the occult-themed stealth tactics game that’s been making waves on PC. Developed by Artificer and published by Devolver Digital alongside Crunching Koalas, this supernatural take on World War 2 has just launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The game drops players into an alternate version of WW2 where they command the Enigma Squad, a team of six scientists who’ve traded their lab coats for combat gear. Each squad member brings unique abilities to the table, from Rosa Reznick’s deadly chemical concoctions to the mutated strength of ‘The Werebear’ Wojtek Galica. The premise certainly sounds intriguing for anyone who fancies mixing historical warfare with a hefty dose of the supernatural.

Players will need to use their tactical nous to sneak through Nazi strongholds across 10 chapters, combining team members’ abilities in creative ways to overcome increasingly challenging threats. The game promises to test both strategic thinking and quick reflexes as the opposition includes heavily armed, mutated, and supernaturally enhanced enemies. As the squad grows stronger through their missions, they’ll need every advantage they can get to prevent a grim alternative timeline from becoming reality.

The real-time tactical stealth gameplay is set against historically inspired locations, though clearly with the developer’s own supernatural twist. For strategy fans looking for something different from the usual WW2 fare, Sumerian Six appears to offer an interesting blend of familiar tactical gameplay with occult elements that should keep things fresh.
