Death By Scrolling Launches on Consoles April 16

The chaotic afterlife adventure Death By Scrolling is making its way to consoles on April 16, arriving simultaneously on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. The console launch will coincide with a major content update for the existing PC version, bringing fresh features across all platforms.

Set in the bureaucratic nightmare of Purgatory Inc., Death By Scrolling presents an endlessly scrolling action roguelite where players must climb upward through a world that never stops moving. With the floor constantly rising and the Reaper in relentless pursuit, the only option is to keep climbing whilst battling monsters and navigating hazards.

Players can choose from a cast of unique characters, each offering different abilities and playstyles as they attempt to collect enough gold to pay the Ferryman’s crossing fee. The vertical journey includes encounters with bizarre enemies, strange vendors, unexpected side quests, and opportunities to upgrade builds during each run.

The April 16 update introduces significant new content including an additional playable character, a brand new biome to explore, and various gameplay improvements. The game features competitive leaderboards, allowing players to compare their performances with others attempting to escape the afterlife’s bureaucratic chaos.
