Hoard’s LLC: Monster Unionisation

A new puzzle game with a twist caught my eye at London Games Festival 2026’s New Game Plus Event. Hoard’s LLC, developed by Cephalopod Ink, puts players in the claws of Barry, a mild-mannered minotaur working in the depths of a corporate dungeon who discovers his monstrous colleagues are being exploited.

The game combines visual novel storytelling with puzzle mechanics, wrapped up in a cosy package filled with corporate humour and workplace puns. Players will guide Barry through a winding dungeon as he connects with his coworkers and helps them realise that their most powerful weapon against their evil boss isn’t an ancient sword or magic ring, but unionisation.

According to the developers at Cephalopod Ink, the corporate themes come from a very personal place. The team spent over a decade working at various companies, including game studios and tech firms, before founding their own studio. This experience gave them firsthand insight into how employees can be treated, but also showed them the power workers have when they band together.

Hoard’s LLC promises to be a story-driven experience that tackles serious workplace themes through the lens of fantasy dungeon dwellers. The game focuses on building community and bringing together characters who need each other now more than ever.
