Crazy Taxi: World Tour – Coming 2027

SEGA has officially announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour, bringing the beloved arcade driving series back for a globe-trotting adventure set to launch in 2027. The announcement came during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, complete with a trailer featuring The Offspring’s iconic track “All I Want” that’s synonymous with the franchise.

The new instalment will feature series protagonist Axel in a story-driven campaign that sees him chasing mysterious masked villains who’ve stolen his taxi. This adventure will take players across five unique cities around the world, each offering diverse terrain and extreme missions to tackle.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is being developed under the guidance of Kenji Kanno, the original creator of the Crazy Taxi series. The game promises to expand significantly on the classic formula with new multiplayer modes allowing players to compete against friends and online opponents worldwide. Vehicle customisation will also play a larger role, with players able to unlock various vehicles and modification options to create their perfect ride.

For fans of the original experience, Classic Mode will recreate the thrills of the original arcade games. The title will be available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
