Fast-paced action roguelite Realm of Ink is making the leap from PC Early Access to a full multiplatform release on 26th May 2026. Developer Leap Studio and publisher 4Divinity have confirmed the game will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC version 1.0, bringing its striking Chinese-inspired ink art style to console players for the first time.

The game follows Red, a swordswoman trapped within an ink-painted world who discovers her entire existence is merely a scripted story. Players must help her battle through this living manuscript, facing mythical creatures inspired by Chinese folklore whilst uncovering the truth behind her predicament. Each death triggers a rebirth that reshapes the narrative, unlocking new combat forms and supernatural abilities along the way.

Realm of Ink has been building a strong reputation during its Steam Early Access phase, earning “Very Positive” reviews from players. The development team has used community feedback to refine the combat system and progression mechanics, with all these improvements carrying over to the console versions. The game features nine distinct combat forms, over 200 unlockable perks, and evolving “Ink Pets” that can transform into more than 15 unique forms depending on player choices.

In an exciting crossover announcement, Leap Studio revealed that Oread, the Stage 4 boss from BlazBlue Entropy Effect, will join Realm of Ink as a fully playable character. This collaboration with developer 91Act brings new gameplay elements including a powerful Ink Gem, exclusive pet skins, and devastating perks designed around Oread’s combat style.

PC and Xbox players can already experience Realm of Ink through free demos available on Steam and the Xbox Store. PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch wishlisting will be available shortly, with all platforms launching together on 26th May 2026.
