The Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster, London was buzzing with hundreds of bloggers, as they gathered for the forth annual UK Blog Awards. The awards celebrate the ‘best’ of UK Bloggers and provide a unique opportunity for both individuals and companies from various sectors to be recognised for their social media achievements through blogging, vlogging, instagramming and snapchatting.
Over 30 judges looked at blogs across 17 categories. Gaming Debugged was a finalist in the ‘Digital & Technology’ category and although I didn’t win, I was stoked to get ‘Highly Commended‘ and recognised with a certificate. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to win as Tech Age Kids, the winner in my category teaches kids to program and includes some pretty stellar content. However, I was amazed to be recognised and now I have been given new enthusiasm to create bigger and better content in order to strive for that top spot next year.
I have so many ideas for content and with a new spring in my step, I am ready to tackle it head on. I can’t thank you enough for all those that voted for Gaming Debugged to be part of the awards. The presenters said that over 100,000 votes were cast and there were thousands of entries. Thank you for inspiring me, motivating me and letting me know that all this writing actually means something to someone.
The night itself was amazing and I met so many amazing bloggers and influencers who I am eager to catch up with over the year. As soon as the hangover has gone, I will throw myself into some amazing content and make you proud.
Thank you again, this really would not have been possible without your support!
You Rock!
