One of Steam’s most wishlisted upcoming games has just revealed how its peaceful co-op gameplay will work when it launches next year. Solarpunk, the cozy crafting experience from indie developer Cyberware, has unveiled its first co-op gameplay trailer, showing up to four players building homes together amongst floating islands in the sky.

The game has been quietly building a passionate following since its reveal, with almost one million Steam wishlists despite being developed by just a two-person team. Set in a hopeful world of gentle technology and renewable energy, Solarpunk promises a refreshingly calm take on the survival crafting genre, with no combat pressure or time limits to worry about.

Players will be able to harness solar, wind and water power to automate their floating settlements, leaving more time for exploration and creativity. The new trailer shows friends working together to gather resources, craft helpful gadgets, and design beautiful sky-bound homes at their own pace. Custom airships will let players drift between distant islands, either solo or with friends, though the co-op mode won’t feature crossplay at launch.

Those eager to try the peaceful world of Solarpunk can download a PC demo on Steam right now. The demo lets players experiment with the game’s renewable energy systems, explore its tech trees, and get a taste of the unhurried building and farming mechanics that define the experience.

Solarpunk is set to release on PC via Steam in 2026, published by rokaplay. Players can add it to their Steam wishlist now to stay updated on the game’s development.
