Go North: Atmospheric Maze Adventure

A tranquil maze adventure is making its way to PC and Xbox next month, with a demo now available on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest. Go North, developed by one-man Nigerian studio gazuntype, offers players a meditative journey through atmospheric puzzles and wilderness exploration.

The game follows Dara, an explorer searching for the mysterious Maze God who places every exit due north. Players must navigate through twisted forest thickets, solve surprise puzzles, and complete sidequests whilst hunting for each maze’s northern exit. The ultimate goal is to locate the Maze God and earn the right to make a single wish.

The Steam demo features four brand new mazes alongside a fresh Camera mechanic that allows players to document their adventure. An introductory cinematic also provides a glimpse into the broader Go North universe. The full game promises to expand beyond forest environments, introducing haunted hallways, floating sky islands, and additional discoverable items to help solve increasingly complex mazes.

Go North launches on PC and Xbox Series X|S on Tuesday, 28th July. The demo is available now on Steam, giving players an early taste of this atmospheric puzzle adventure before the full release next month.
