Digital Vortex Entertainment and indie developer Firevolt have released a free demo for their upcoming chaotic co-op building sim, Salvation Denied. The demo is available now on Steam and will feature in Steam Next Fest starting 15th June.

Salvation Denied challenges 1-4 players to build structures whilst dealing with environmental disasters that threaten to destroy their creations. The demo includes two complete missions that showcase the game’s physics-driven construction system and variety of challenges.

The first mission, “Signal to Orbit”, tasks players with building a base and positioning an antenna to hit a signal whilst avoiding meteor showers. The second mission, “Shield Breaker”, requires players to level support heights across a canyon, transport massive damper cores to a mega impulse cannon, and destroy three security towers to breach a main barrier.

According to Creative Director Ajven Pabiarzhyn at Firevolt, the demo incorporates extensive feedback from an open playtest in March 2026. The team reworked characters, overhauled locations, and added the new mega impulse cannon mission based on player responses. The demo launches with full localisation in 14 languages.

The full version of Salvation Denied is scheduled to launch in Autumn 2026 on PC via Steam, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions following in 2027. The free demo is available now on Steam.
