Italian developer 3DClouds has released a substantial new update for their indie racing hit Formula Legends, adding both free and premium content that spans seven decades of motorsport history. The update, available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox with Nintendo Switch following later this month, introduces cutting-edge Late 2020s cars alongside classic Late 1950s vehicles.

The free content includes a modern Late 2020s racing car that brings new gameplay mechanics like battery charge management and aerodynamic mode switching between low and high downforce configurations. Players can also get behind the wheel of a classic Late 1950s vehicle and tackle a new vintage championship complete with period-appropriate teams and drivers. The update also adds a terrifyingly fast new configuration of the Temple of Speed circuit, featuring massive banked corners that capture the era’s distinctive racing challenges.

For those wanting the complete modern racing experience, the Late 2020s Season Pack offers additional premium content for £4.99. This DLC expansion includes seven new teams, 14 drivers with unique helmets, 16 new liveries, and a challenging new Azerbaijan track that demands expert energy management across its technical sections and lengthy straights.

Formula Legends has built a devoted following since launching in September, positioning itself cleverly between arcade accessibility and simulation depth across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The game now covers 19 different eras of open-wheel racing regulations across 14 locations with 33 track configurations. 3DClouds has confirmed that online multiplayer is in development, with more content planned as the game approaches its first anniversary.

Players can find Formula Legends on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Network, Nintendo eShop and Xbox Games Store. A physical Legacy Edition including all DLC will arrive at retailers on 4th June through publisher Microids.
